Commercial: Basecamp Research

Earlier last year I was asked to accompany a team from Basecamp Research (BCR) on a field trip to the island of Malta, working alongside Heritage Malta, to collect samples from the seabed around shipwrecks as well as on terra firma amongst wild grasslands. BCR’s mission is to collect bio diversity data samples from around the world and then harnessing the power of AI, consolidate and make available said samples for scientific research in order to tackle some of the planets most pressing issues. To cover this I not only had to shoot on foot, but also in the water and the air, the aim for me being to create image assets that helped explain what they do in the field. A challenge, but a fun one.
