I was recently commissioned by the Sunday Times Magazine to go and photograph British Mountaineer Kenton Cool, a guide who as summited Everest 18 times. I headed out to his amazing place over in Gloucestershire and turned his car pool into a daylight studio so I could set up a backdrop and then get him dressed up. I used a hand painted canvas backdrop that had a lovely cool feel to it – which I think worked well as a complimentary colour to his outfit, whilst also echoing the mountains.
