Gauchos are traditional horsemen of the Argentinian plains, known for their skill in herding cattle. However they are a symbol of national pride and folklore, Gauchos are renowned for their equestrian talents, their deep respect for nature, and their ability to adapt and survive in the wilds. Self sufficiency is not just a skill for the Gauchos but a necessity. I was drawn to photographing them as representatives of a past way of life, one that we are fast losing touch with.
