Brazilian Samba is a vibrant, rhythmic dance that’s synonymous with the spirit and culture of Brazil. Originating in the country’s Afro-Brazilian communities, it has grown to become a symbol of Brazil itself. Captivating and energetic, it’s more than just a dance, it’s a form of expression, celebration, and national identity. Photographed in Rio de Janeiro in the lead up to Carnival this project tries to capture some of that energy in the still image.
